Methana is volcanic, North of Trizina (Ancient Troezen) and North-West of Poros; the peninsula is joined to the Peloponnese by a narrow isthmus. It is known for its healing springs which bring many Greek holidaymakers annually. It is still to attract significant overseas visitors. There is a new coastal road linking the isthmus with the town of Methana.
