Relaxing Around Rhodes

Day 1
Rhodes Island

The cruise welcomes its guests mid-afternoon but does not sail out of Rhodes harbor until the next day; dinner is served of course.Rhodes, with its Old Town a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the largest of the Dodecanese and offers everything a tourist would want. There is a 200 kilometre coastline, a fascinating interior, good nightlife and plenty of history. It has been home to several ‘’civilisations’’ in its history and also to a former Ancient Wonder of the World though the Colossus was destroyed by an earthquake many centuries ago. The narrow streets of this walled Old Town can be crowded at times but worth visiting with the Palace of the Grand Master and the architecture of the Knights of St. John notable features.

Day 2
Agia Nikolaos (Symi Island)More info

Agia Nikolaos is probably the top beach on Symi. There is natural shade, a beach bar, good taverna and safe swimming conditions. Families love it for all these reasons, especially with the very gentle slope down into the water and going out making it a lovely place for young children.

Day 3
Panormitis (Symi Island)More info

Panormitis is a village 12 kms to the south of Symi Town. There is an important monastery, Archangel Michael Panormitis in the Village, argubably the top landmark on this lovely island.

Day 4
Tilos Island

Tilos in the Dodecanese is located between Kos and Rhodes with mass tourism not really a factor. You can visit on a yacht charter and you will find nice beaches and small settlements. Livadia is the island’s port but the place to visit while there is Mikro Chorio, an abandoned village, now a ‘’ghost town’’. On an island with few visitors, the beaches are quiet with no real facilities.

Day 5
Livadia (Tilos Island)More info

Livadia is a beautiful small port of just 300 inhabitants whose lives revolve around farming and tourism. Seven kilometers to the south east is Megalo Chorio, the capital of the Tilos. The number of churches on the Island is evidence of the importance of religion to Tilos.

Day 6
Chalki Island

Chalki is another place where peace and quiet is virtually guaranteed.  The beaches are great and some will be entirely deserted. There is one small settlement, a port with cafes and tavernas on the promenade.

Day 7
Rhodes Island

Rhodes, with its Old Town a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the largest of the Dodecanese and offers everything a tourist would want.

Day 8
Rhodes Town

The guests will leave the yacht with precious memories of the tour by 10:30am after a hearty breakfast. If you haven't already been into the centre of Rhodes Town we would strongly recommend it. The largest of the Dodecanese Islands, Rhodes is abundant in beaches, wooded valleys and ancient history. Whether you seek the buzz of nightlife and beaches, diving in crystal-clear water or a culture-vulture journey through past civilisations, it’s all here.
