Zaklopatic
The Lastovo Archipelago became a recognised nature reserve in 2006. There are 44 islands in all, the largest being Sucac and Lastovo itself. There is just over 50 square kilometres of land and nearly three times as much sea in the reserve. It is a place of reefs, coves and islets with four lighthouses lighting its boundaries. On land, there are several indigenous flora and fauna species with forest, cliff and cave adding to the wonderful natural environment. History and culture is also important and visitors can explore a number of churches, chapels and stone buildings with their interesting chimneys. There is also the annual Lastovo Festival to bear in mind in your travels.
