Sami (Kefalonia Island)
The Port of Sami lies In the East of Kefalonia, 13 miles South South East of Fiskardo and four miles South East of Ayia Eufimia. It has a sheltered harbour with enough berths for between 30 and 35 yachts. The West quay is probably the place to head to find a space. It is possible to go to the Cave of Melissani where there is an underground lake fed by a subterranean stream crosses the island from Argostoli. Go around noon when the sun streams through the roof to turn the water below the colour of turquoise. Boatmen are available to row visitors around the cave.
