Kioni (Ithaca Island)
To the South of Frikes is Kioni, generally regarded as one of the prettiest villages in the Ionian Sea. It is well protected as it sits at the foot of a deep valley with a rocky promontory lined with ruined windmills providing shelter from the East. Pine, olive and cypress trees surround the village and a pleasant walk to the South reveals the ruined windmills. A swimming ladder has been placed at the foot of the breakwater; a great place for cooling off in the summer.
