Finike
Limyra is an ancient city in the Finike Plain just over 110 kms west of Antalya and 6 kms inland from the sea. It is on the slopes of Tocak Mountain and in the midst of natural springs. The ancient name of the place was Zemuri. It is accessed by road from Tocak Mountain, through orange orchards and on arrival you will see its rock tombs. The city is situated around Acicay (Ad River), whose source is a spring near a rock tomb. Perikles choose Limrya as his capital in the 4th Century BC. Excavations beneath the Acropolis revealed the tomb of Perikles.
